Categories of Personal Data Collected
We collect only the personal data necessary to respond to enquiries, deliver the information services offered by this website, comply with applicable law, and operate the website securely. The categories of personal data we may collect are set out below.
Information you provide directly
When you submit an enquiry through our website, we collect your name, email address, mobile telephone number, city, postal PIN code (optional), indicative investment amount range, investment horizon, the product context of your enquiry (the specific bond, mutual fund, or other product page you were viewing), and any free-text message you choose to share. You may also indicate your communication preferences for contact, marketing, and WhatsApp updates as three independent consents.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the website we collect, by automatic means, your Internet Protocol address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, the pages of the website you view, the time and duration of each visit, the referring URL, and similar diagnostic information. This information is collected through server logs and cookies (see our Cookie Policy for details).
Information from third parties
We do not, at present, obtain personal data about you from third-party data brokers. If you reach our website through a search engine, social media platform, or affiliate referral, we may receive limited referral information from those services in the form of UTM parameters or HTTP referrer headers.
Purposes of Processing
We process personal data only for specific, lawful purposes communicated to you at or before the time of collection. The purposes are as follows.
Responding to your enquiry
Information you submit through an enquiry form is used to contact you about the product you enquired about, share related information, and route your enquiry to the appropriate principal broker for offline processing.
Service delivery and follow-up
Where you have given consent for marketing communications or WhatsApp updates, we may use your contact details to send you periodic updates about new offerings, market commentary, and educational content. You may withdraw these consents at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by writing to our Grievance Officer.
Compliance and record-keeping
We retain certain information to comply with our recordkeeping obligations as a registered sub-broker and referral partner and to evidence consent and lawful basis of processing under the DPDP Act.
Website operation and security
Automatically collected information (IP address, browser data, server logs) is used to operate the website, prevent fraud and abuse, detect security incidents, and improve performance and reliability.
Analytics, with consent
Where you have given explicit consent through our cookie banner, we use a privacy-respecting analytics service to understand aggregate usage patterns. Analytics processing does not identify you individually and you may decline this category of cookies without affecting access to the website.
Legal Basis for Processing
Under the DPDP Act, we process personal data only on the basis of your free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous consent, or where the processing is otherwise permitted by law as a legitimate use. The principal grounds we rely on are:
Consent — for collecting and processing enquiry information, sending marketing communications, and storing optional non-essential cookies. Consent is captured separately for each purpose and may be withdrawn at any time.
Legitimate use — for processing required to fulfil services that you have specifically requested (such as responding to your enquiry), to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations as a registered sub-broker and referral partner, and to respond to medical or other emergencies if applicable.
Categories of Recipients
Personal data is shared only with parties that have a legitimate need to receive it for the purposes set out in this policy. The categories of recipients are listed below.
Principal brokers, namely SMC Global Securities Ltd, Prudent Corporate Advisory Services Ltd, and Kedia Capital Services Private Limited, who execute transactions you initiate offline pursuant to enquiries shared through this website. These entities are SEBI-registered intermediaries and bound by their own privacy frameworks.
Authorised service providers, including our email delivery provider for transactional and marketing emails, our hosting and infrastructure provider, and our analytics provider (where you have consented to analytics cookies). Each provider is bound by contractual obligations of confidentiality and data protection consistent with the DPDP Act.
Regulatory or law-enforcement authorities, where disclosure is required to comply with a lawful request, court order, or regulatory directive.
We do not sell personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Retention
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our legal and regulatory recordkeeping obligations, or to resolve any disputes that may arise.
Enquiry records, including the personal data submitted with them and the consent records associated with them, are retained for a period of 7 years from the date of enquiry, after which they are deleted or anonymised unless we are required to retain them longer under applicable law (such as a regulatory investigation or pending litigation).
Server logs and similar diagnostic information are retained for 90 days for security and fraud-prevention purposes, and then either deleted or anonymised.
Audit logs of administrative actions on the website are retained for 90 days. Cookie consent records are retained for the lifetime of the consent cookie (see our Cookie Policy).
Cross-Border Transfers
Personal data collected through this website is stored on infrastructure located in India by default. Where any service provider we engage processes data outside India, such processing is governed by contractual safeguards consistent with the standards set under the DPDP Act and any rules notified thereunder by the Central Government. We will not transfer your personal data outside India to any country or territory that the Central Government has restricted under the DPDP Act.
Your Rights as a Data Principal
Subject to applicable conditions and exemptions under the DPDP Act, you, as a Data Principal, have the following rights in respect of your personal data:
Right to access
You may request a summary of the personal data we are processing about you and the categories of recipients with whom it has been shared.
Right to correction and erasure
You may request correction of inaccurate or misleading personal data, completion of incomplete personal data, updation of personal data, and erasure of personal data that is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was processed (unless retention is required by law).
Right to withdraw consent
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal but will stop further processing on that ground. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails.
Right of grievance redressal
You may file a complaint with our Grievance Officer regarding any aspect of our processing of your personal data. We will acknowledge and address your grievance within the timelines committed on our Grievance Redressal page.
Right of nomination
You may nominate any individual who shall, in the event of your death or incapacity, exercise your rights under the DPDP Act in your place. To exercise this right, please write to our Grievance Officer.
How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of the above rights, send a written request to our Grievance Officer at saaransh@satyakiifinadvisors.com. We may, where necessary, ask for additional information to verify your identity before acting on the request.
Cookies
We use a limited set of cookies to operate the website, remember your preferences, and (with your consent) understand aggregate usage. A detailed description of each cookie, its purpose, and its retention period is set out in our Cookie Policy, which forms part of this Privacy Policy by reference.
Children's Data
The website and its services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, persons below the age of eighteen years. The enquiry form requires confirmation of age. If you believe that a person below eighteen years has submitted personal data through our website, please contact our Grievance Officer so that we can promptly delete the data.
Security Measures
We adopt reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or unauthorised access. These measures include, without limitation: encryption of data in transit using TLS, encryption of data at rest, role-based access control limiting access to authorised personnel only, secure password storage using cryptographic hashing, audit logging of administrative actions, dependency security audits, and a documented incident response procedure.
No method of transmission over the internet or storage on electronic media is fully secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Changes to this Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, our services, or our practices. Material changes will be communicated through a prominent notice on the website and, where appropriate, by direct notification to the email address on record for enquiries where you have given marketing consent. Continued use of the website after the effective date of a revision constitutes acknowledgement of the revised policy.
